Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Los Angeles on September 2 point to sunny conditions with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s under a strong high-pressure ridge, southwest winds around 15 mph, and minimal marine layer influence, consistent with early-September climatology averaging near 77°F at official stations. Trader emphasis on the 76-77°F bin reflects this baseline range plus coastal moderation, while lower probabilities for 78°F+ account for possible model variability or exact station measurement thresholds. With no major atmospheric shifts or heat-wave signals in the latest runs, probabilities may adjust only modestly ahead of final observational data.
