This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Recent Hong Kong Observatory guidance and ensemble model consensus indicate a generally cloudy September 2 with scattered showers and northwest winds of 4–5, gusting higher, limiting peak solar heating and supporting a daily maximum in the 29–31 °C range. The nearby tropical cyclone and monsoon flow sustain higher relative humidity (70–95 %) and moderate boundary-layer mixing, while partial afternoon clearing could allow brief warming episodes. These conditions, near the September climatological average of ~31 °C, create tight uncertainty around the exact high, with small differences in cloud timing or shower intensity able to shift the outcome between 29 °C and 31 °C. Market-implied odds reflect this narrow forecast spread and inherent model variability in tropical environments.
