Forecast models from sources aligned with National Weather Service guidance show Austin highs near 99–100°F on September 13 under persistent southerly flow, partly cloudy skies, and high humidity that supports heat indices above 105°F. Recent days with readings in the upper 90s to low 100s, well above the 91.6°F climatological average, have reinforced expectations for continued warmth without significant cooling from fronts or increased cloud cover. Model consensus favors the 100–101°F bin as the most likely outcome, with limited downside risk from any late-day stabilization or minor precipitation.
