Katie Hobbs holds an 87% implied probability of carrying Maricopa County in the November 2026 Arizona gubernatorial election, far ahead of Republican nominee Andy Biggs at 10.5%. This positioning stems from consistent polling throughout summer 2026 showing the Democratic incumbent leading Biggs statewide by margins of 6 to 16 points, with recent surveys from HighGround and others highlighting her advantages among independents, women, and Hispanic voters. Maricopa, Arizona’s most populous county and a pivotal swing area, has trended toward Hobbs in recent cycles, and her strong primary performance plus Biggs’s consolidation of the Republican nomination have not shifted the county-level outlook. Traders view the race as stable heading into early voting, though turnout among suburban moderates remains a key variable that could narrow gaps.
