Latest forecast models from sources tracking Shanghai conditions indicate a low of 21–23°C on September 20 under partly cloudy skies and light northerly winds, supporting the market's heavy weighting toward 22–24°C outcomes. These probabilities align with typical late-summer radiative cooling patterns in the region, where reduced cloud cover overnight allows moderate heat loss from the surface while residual humidity and light winds prevent sharper drops below 20°C. Recent model runs show consistency with September climatology, where average overnight lows hover near 20–22°C, though minor shifts in cloud cover or frontal influences could nudge readings by 1–2°C. Updated guidance from monitoring agencies ahead of the date will clarify any adjustments to these implied probabilities.
