Persistent thunderstorm activity driven by high atmospheric moisture and sea breeze convergence is anchoring trader consensus around 90-91°F as the most likely daily maximum for Miami on September 20. National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models currently project highs in the upper 80s amid scattered afternoon convection, consistent with September climatology where average highs reach near 89°F but frequent storms often suppress peaks. Elevated dew points near 77°F and 60-90% precipitation probabilities limit surface heating, while steering patterns favor continued instability. Recent model runs show minimal day-to-day shifts, leaving room for brief clearing that could push readings into the low 90s.
