Official National Weather Service observations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport recorded a minimum of 55°F on August 29, 2026, aligning precisely with the market's 54-55°F outcome at 100% implied probability. Persistent marine layer clouds, light patchy rain, and southwesterly flow suppressed both daytime heating and overnight radiational cooling, keeping temperatures near the late-August climatological average low of 56°F. These conditions reflect typical Pacific Northwest summer patterns influenced by the North Pacific high and onshore flow. A clearer sky or stronger offshore wind could have allowed greater cooling toward 50°F or below, but no such shift materialized in the verified data.
