United Russia maintains a commanding lead in trader consensus for securing the most State Duma seats in the September 18–20, 2026, election, driven by its status as the dominant incumbent with extensive administrative resources, control over single-member districts, and a mixed electoral system that favors established parties. Recent party congress developments in August, including approval of a national program emphasizing wages, infrastructure, and family support alongside Vladimir Putin’s endorsement, have reinforced its positioning ahead of the vote. New People has emerged as the clearest secondary option in state polling trends, reflecting modest gains among younger and urban voters, while smaller parties face structural barriers. The Supreme Court’s August removal of Yabloko from the ballot further consolidated the field among registered contenders, aligning with historical patterns of managed competition in Russian parliamentary contests.
