Current National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance indicate a Thursday low temperature in the mid-60s °F for coastal Los Angeles, driven by persistent onshore flow and a strengthening marine layer that promotes nocturnal cooling under mostly clear skies after morning low clouds. This setup favors readings near 65–67 °F at representative stations such as LAX, with minor differences among outcomes hinging on the precise timing of fog dissipation, boundary-layer mixing, and localized wind shifts that can alter radiative cooling rates by 1–3 °F. Historical September climatology shows typical minima in this range, and the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities around 66–69 °F reflects traders weighing these small but measurable uncertainties in the final 48-hour forecast updates.
