The Montarville riding remains a tight contest ahead of the October 5 Quebec general election, with the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec candidate holding a narrow edge in recent projections but facing a strong challenge from the Parti Québécois nominee. Provincial polling trends show the PQ closing ground on the CAQ in francophone suburban areas like Montarville, where voter priorities around housing, employment, and sovereignty intersect with local dynamics. The Liberals and Québec solidaire candidates trail but could influence outcomes through vote splitting. Recent developments, including the writ drop on August 27 and candidate confirmations, have kept trader consensus evenly balanced, reflecting uncertainty over turnout and late-campaign shifts that could separate the top contenders.
