Recent polling consistently positions the Parti Québécois ahead or tied with the Quebec Liberal Party among decided voters, driven by strong francophone support and nationalist positioning ahead of the October 2026 vote. The Coalition Avenir Québec has shown modest gains under new leader Christine Fréchette following François Legault’s January resignation, yet remains third. These dynamics reflect voter shifts after years of CAQ governance challenges, with the Liberal vote concentrated in certain regions and the PQ benefiting from broader appeal in key ridings. Trader consensus reflects this competitive landscape, where small swings in turnout or late campaign developments could alter seat projections in the 125-member National Assembly.
