The 2026 Quebec general election is scheduled to be held no later than October 5, 2026. This market will resolve to the individual who is formally appointed as Premier of Quebec as a result of the specified elections. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally appointed as Premier following the specified elections. Any interim or caretaker head of government will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Premier is appointed by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Quebec; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the Parti Québécois, which maintains a narrow edge in recent polling averages ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election, reflecting voter dissatisfaction with the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec government and the party’s consistent strength in francophone regions. Christine Fréchette, who became CAQ leader and premier in April after François Legault’s January resignation, has seen her party’s support stabilize near 20 percent amid criticism of early spending announcements and lingering effects from the prior administration. Charles Milliard, who assumed Liberal leadership by acclamation in February, trails closely in some surveys and benefits from potential non-francophone and Montreal-area consolidation but lacks a seat in the National Assembly and broader momentum. Smaller-party figures including Ruba Ghazal and Éric Duhaime register minimal support. The current trader consensus aligns with these electoral dynamics and the absence of major late shifts in party standings or leadership events.
