Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for September 11, 2026, in New York City centers on an overnight low near 68–70°F, driven by partly cloudy skies, light northerly winds, and limited radiative cooling under a stable air mass following recent above-average warmth. This consensus directly underpins the market’s heaviest weighting on the 70–71°F bin (41%), followed by 68–69°F (26.5%) and 72–73°F (24%). Historical September 11 lows average about 63°F, so the projected values sit well above the long-term baseline yet align with the mild early-autumn pattern observed in recent days. Fresh model runs or NWS updates through the overnight period remain the key variables that could shift implied probabilities before resolution.
