Persistent hot and humid conditions driven by southerly flow and high pressure are keeping overnight lows elevated across central Texas. Official National Weather Service forecasts for Austin-Bergstrom project an overnight minimum near 77°F on September 9, with similar guidance from multiple models showing upper-70s readings under mostly clear skies. This aligns with the ongoing late-summer heat wave, where recent observations have consistently exceeded seasonal normals of roughly 70°F. Market-implied odds favoring 69°F or below may reflect residual uncertainty around any late-model cooling or localized variability, while the 76–79°F range carries solid support from current consensus. Updated short-range model runs and evening observations will be key ahead of resolution.
