Latest forecast models from sources including the GFS and ECMWF project a high of 31–33°C in Zhengzhou on September 6 under mostly clear skies, light easterly winds, and a stable warm air mass, supporting the 69% market-implied probability for 32°C or higher. This exceeds the early-September climatological average high near 27°C, with minimal cloud cover expected to maximize daytime heating before a cooler front arrives later in the week. Official Chinese meteorological guidance and ensemble runs show limited spread around these values, though minor shifts in timing or humidity could nudge the exact peak by 1°C. Traders appear to weight the consensus guidance heavily given the short time to resolution.
