Recent National Weather Service and private forecasts for Los Angeles on September 13, 2026, center on a high of 78–81°F at official stations such as LAX, driven by a persistent marine layer that produced morning low clouds and fog before partial afternoon clearing under southwest flow. This pattern, typical for the LA basin in mid-September, limits daytime heating compared with the extreme heat earlier in the month when downtown highs reached 99°F on the 9th. Average climatology for the date is 76°F, and model consensus shows light winds and dew points in the upper 60s further capping peaks. Market-implied odds favor 78–79°F because current guidance and historical analogs cluster there, with upside risk to the low 80s only if stronger offshore flow develops before official observations close.
