The closely contested 50.5% implied probability for an "Up" move in the First Partner Illustration Collection (Series 1) by August 31 stems from steady collector demand for its Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola promo cards offsetting broader TCG market softness. Series 1, released in March at $14.99 MSRP, has traded in the low-to-mid $60s on platforms like TCGPlayer and Collectr amid heavy retail discounting, while the August 7 launch of Series 3 has introduced fresh supply and shifted some attention toward newer regional promos. Ongoing Amazon deals on Series 2 and typical post-hype price erosion for sealed product create downward pressure, yet strong secondary-market interest in the illustration rares keeps the market balanced. A decisive shift could come from final-week retailer restocks, updated Collectr snapshots, or any Pokémon TCG announcement that reignites nostalgia-driven buying.
