Chen Yu-jen’s selection as the Kuomintang nominee for the Kinmen County magistrate race in March 2026 has anchored trader consensus around her candidacy at 82.5 percent implied probability. As the sitting legislator for the constituency, she benefits from the county’s long-standing KMT alignment, prior electoral margins exceeding 65 percent in related contests, and the absence of a competitive Democratic Progressive Party entrant. Lower-priced alternatives such as Li Wen-liang at 14.5 percent and other listed candidates reflect limited organized opposition and the structural advantages of party endorsement in this offshore jurisdiction ahead of the year-end local vote.
