Official forecasts for Houston on September 13, 2026, from sources including the National Weather Service and WeatherBug project a daily high in the mid-90s under mostly sunny skies with south winds of 5-10 mph and a 40-50% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. These conditions, typical of the region's subtropical late-summer pattern with elevated humidity and heat indices near 110°F, support a market-implied consensus around 92-93°F. Afternoon convection can introduce cloud cover or localized cooling that caps peaks below model maxima, while recent analogs from 2022-2025 show highs clustering in the low-to-mid 90s absent strong high-pressure dominance. Traders appear to discount the upper tail of guidance given model spread on storm timing and intensity, with upcoming NHC or local updates likely to refine resolution odds.
