Recent forecast models indicate a warming trend for Cape Town on September 21, with clear skies and light winds supporting daytime highs in the upper 20s to low 30s Celsius, well above the September climatological average of 18–20°C. This setup stems from high-pressure dominance suppressing cloud formation and limiting the moderating influence of the cold Benguela Current. Market-implied odds cluster tightly around 28–29°C because numerical guidance shows minor spread in peak values depending on exact timing of any sea breeze or subsidence strength. South African Weather Service observations will determine resolution, with fresh model runs and agency briefings likely to adjust sentiment ahead of the date.
