Latest forecasts from multiple models point to a peak temperature of 32–33°C in Singapore on September 19, aligning with the tight market split between those two outcomes. Strong El Niño conditions are sustaining above-normal warmth across the Maritime Continent, while southwest monsoon flows bring southeasterly winds and localized afternoon thundery showers that cap extreme heating. Historical September maxima average near 31.6°C, with recent days already touching 34–35°C before cloud build-up; the current setup favors similar moderation rather than a push to 34°C or higher. Official station readings after 1400 local time will determine resolution, and any late clearing could favor the upper end of the range.
