**Trader sentiment heavily favors "Down" for the Mega Charizard Y ex (Ascended Heroes hyper rare) on August 31 at 82.5% implied probability because the card has shown consistent price erosion since its post-release peak.** The Ascended Heroes set, which launched with strong early hype around its Charizard chase cards, has seen supply outpace demand in the months since. Recent TCGPlayer and PriceCharting data reflect raw copies trading in the $419–$430 range, with notable drops—including a $107 decline reported in late July—as more copies enter the secondary market and weekly sales volume remains modest. Comparable chase cards from the set have followed similar trajectories, correcting after the initial frenzy fades. No major catalysts—such as new tournament play, promotional tie-ins, or set reprints—are scheduled before the end of August to reverse momentum. Market participants appear to be pricing in continued softening toward or below recent lows, consistent with typical post-hype corrections for modern Pokémon TCG hyper rares.
