Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta indicate a Sunday high near 90–91°F under mostly sunny skies with a 30–50% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. This positions the market’s closely matched probabilities around the 88–93°F range as traders weigh the timing of convective development and associated cloud cover or outflow boundaries that could suppress peak readings by several degrees. Dew points near 70°F and light easterly winds support strong daytime heating under high pressure earlier in the period, yet increasing moisture and instability raise the chance of earlier storm initiation that historically caps highs in similar late-September setups. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will refine whether the maximum exceeds 92°F or falls into the upper 80s.
