Trader consensus heavily favors a 33°C daily maximum in Manila on September 18, reflecting recent observations of afternoon highs near 31–33°C amid the southwest monsoon and typical September climatology of 31°C averages with high humidity. PAGASA guidance highlights cloudy skies and thunderstorm activity that can cap intense solar heating through increased cloud cover and evaporative cooling, yet light winds and residual warmth from prior days support brief peaks at or above 33°C before convection develops. Stronger or earlier storm initiation, thicker cloud decks, or enhanced rainfall could realistically hold the maximum to 31–32°C, while clearer breaks or delayed precipitation would favor the market-implied outcome. Updated PAGASA briefings and real-time station data will refine resolution.
