Incumbent Republican James Uthmeier holds a strong position in the 2026 Florida Attorney General general election on November 3, reflecting his appointment by Governor Ron DeSantis in early 2025 and uncontested Republican primary. Traders price his win probability highest amid Florida’s consistent Republican advantage in statewide contests and his substantial fundraising edge, exceeding his Democratic opponent nearly tenfold through mid-2026. José Javier Rodriguez, the unopposed Democratic nominee and former state senator with prior federal experience, faces structural headwinds in a state where GOP candidates have secured wide margins in recent cycles. Recent developments, including Rodriguez’s September demands for document preservation tied to state programs, have not materially altered the race dynamics or shifted trader consensus away from the incumbent.
