Recent polling shows the Parti Québécois and Coalition Avenir Québec locked in a near tie for first place ahead of the October 5 election, with both parties drawing support primarily from francophone voters while the Quebec Liberal Party maintains its strongest base on Montreal Island but lags among francophones. This positioning leaves the PLQ as the consensus favorite to finish third in seats, though its projected totals remain sensitive to vote efficiency in key ridings and any late shifts from undecided voters or Conservative gains in the Quebec City area. Québec Solidaire and the Parti Conservateur du Québec trail further back, facing steeper barriers to reaching third amid defensive battles and regional concentration. Trader consensus reflects these seat-projection models, where small changes in regional turnout or the ongoing CAQ-PQ momentum contest could reorder the middle of the field before election night.
