This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Beijing Capital International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 12 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zbaa If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts from multiple sources, including Chinese meteorological services and international models like GFS, point to a high temperature in Beijing on September 12, 2026, in the 27–29°C range under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with light variable winds.** This aligns closely with the historical average high of 27.1°C for the date and recent conditions, where highs have hovered near 28–30°C amid clearing weather after earlier light rain. Key drivers include the typical early-autumn transition with declining solar insolation and stable high-pressure patterns favoring clear conditions, rather than strong warming or cooling advection. Model consensus shows minimal precipitation risk and modest diurnal ranges, limiting upside potential above 30°C or downside below 27°C. Minor spreads in peak readings across sources (e.g., 27°C in some local outlooks versus 28–29°C in others) reflect normal uncertainties in boundary-layer mixing and exact timing of maximum heating, supporting the market's concentration on 28–30°C outcomes as the most probable based on real-time data. Updated model runs or official briefings from the China Meteorological Administration over the next 48 hours could refine these implied probabilities.
