Recent confirmations from broadcasters, combined with Canada’s debut as the first new entrant since Australia in 2015 and North Macedonia’s return, are shaping early trader views on the Eurovision 2027 participant list. The EBU’s August 2026 rule updates, including raising the minimum artist age to 18 and new hosting eligibility restrictions tied to armed conflicts, add another layer of uncertainty for countries with ongoing geopolitical tensions. Bulgaria’s selection of Burgas as host city following Dara’s 2026 victory has also prompted discussions around participation logistics. With roughly 17–20 countries having signaled intent so far and roughly 40 expected overall, traders are watching national selection announcements, potential withdrawals, and EBU membership developments through late 2026 for clearer signals ahead of the May 2027 contest.
