Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to Miami's peak temperature on September 5 likely occurring in the morning or early afternoon before widespread convection develops, supporting the market's heavy weighting toward the 90-91°F bin. Typical late-summer patterns feature high humidity, light southeast flow, and sea-breeze-initiated thunderstorms that frequently limit afternoon maxima, consistent with the 70% storm probability and forecasts of highs near 89-92°F before falling into the mid-80s. Recent observations from September 3-4 reached 91-93°F under clearer conditions, yet today's increased moisture and instability favor earlier cooling relative to climatological September averages near 90°F. Updated NHC and local forecasts through evening will refine resolution criteria for official Miami International Airport readings.
