Recent hawkish comments from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh at Jackson Hole have lifted trader expectations for a possible September rate hike, with market-implied odds rising above 50% and December pricing fully in further tightening. This has supported a rebound in the DXY to around 99.67 after testing lows near 98.5 amid softer consumer confidence and mixed PCE readings. The index trades below its June peak near 102 amid concerns over fiscal dynamics and Treasury buybacks but benefits from resilient U.S. yields versus peers. Key catalysts this week include JOLTS openings, ADP employment, and August nonfarm payrolls, which could clarify labor market momentum and shift rate path probabilities.
