Goldman Sachs holds the leading 62% market-implied probability for the lead-left underwriter role in Anthropic’s anticipated IPO, ahead of Morgan Stanley at 22.5%, reflecting its stronger positioning amid the bank’s recent tech-IPO mandates and established AI-sector relationships. Anthropic filed confidential S-1 paperwork in early June 2026 and selected both Goldman and Morgan Stanley as joint leads, with JPMorgan also participating, ahead of a potential October listing that could raise more than $60 billion. The close contest for the prestigious lead-left slot—critical for fees and allocations—has driven trader sentiment, as both banks compete for the top position while managing overlapping mandates including OpenAI. Investor meetings scheduled for later this year and the broader 2026 mega-IPO pipeline continue to shape expectations around final bookrunner hierarchy.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
