Recent ensemble forecasts from European and global models point to a highest temperature in Helsinki on September 21 in the 14–17°C range, producing the market’s near-even split between outcomes above 20°C and at or below 10°C. A northwesterly flow behind an Atlantic low is expected to limit daytime warming while scattered showers and variable cloud cover add uncertainty to the exact peak, consistent with late-September climatology of roughly 15°C average highs. Updated ECMWF and Finnish Meteorological Institute model runs on September 20 will likely tighten the range ahead of resolution.
