Recent polling aggregates for Brazil’s October 2026 presidential election place incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva first in first-round simulations at roughly 37-39 percent, with Flávio Bolsonaro of the Liberal Party (PL) consistently second in the low-to-mid 30s. This positioning reflects Bolsonaro’s consolidation of right-leaning support following his July nomination by the PL and the start of free electoral broadcasts in late August. Other declared candidates, including Augusto Cury (Avante), who has risen to 8-10 percent in September surveys, Renan Santos (Missão), Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), and Romeu Zema (Novo), remain well behind and have not narrowed the gap in the latest Datafolha, Quaest, and PoderData releases. High rejection rates for both leading figures and the absence of a dominant third option have kept trader consensus on second place stable.
