Recent polling ahead of Brazil's October 4 first-round vote shows Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro dominating the top two spots, leaving a fragmented field for third. Renan Santos leads the trader consensus for that position due to his formal Mission Party nomination, social-media mobilization of younger right-leaning voters, and consistent single-digit support in August surveys as an anti-establishment alternative. Ronaldo Caiado follows closely on the strength of his PSD candidacy and prior gubernatorial record, though he trails Santos in recent momentum among online and youth cohorts. Romeu Zema and lower-polling figures face steeper barriers from vote splitting on the right and limited national name recognition. Traders price these dynamics as the primary drivers of implied probabilities.
