Flávio Bolsonaro leads trader sentiment for first place in the Federal District first round at 67.5% implied probability, ahead of Lula at 31.5%, as the Liberal Party nominee consolidates right-wing support in the capital region ahead of the October 4 vote. Jair Bolsonaro’s endorsement and the party’s formal nomination have unified conservative voters there, while national polls show a tighter race overall between the PT incumbent seeking a fourth term and the senator from Rio. Recent campaign launch events, foreign endorsements, and reconciliation within the Bolsonaro family have reinforced Flávio’s positioning without major new setbacks in the district. Lower odds for Ronaldo Caiado, Renan Santos, and other challengers reflect limited local polling traction and vote fragmentation on the right. Traders appear to view the Federal District’s electorate as more favorable to the PL standard-bearer than the national average, with few scheduled events likely to shift the local balance before election day.
