**Morocco's September 23, 2026, legislative elections for the 395-seat House of Representatives remain highly competitive among leading parties, with market prices reflecting broad uncertainty rather than a clear frontrunner.** The incumbent coalition—led by the National Rally of Independents (RNI) alongside the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and Istiqlal (PI)—faces pressure to deliver gains amid documented public distrust and socioeconomic challenges. PAM holds the highest implied probability among named contenders at 49.5%, followed by RNI at 36%, while PI trails at 14.1% and smaller parties such as USFP, MP, UC, PPS, and PJD sit below 2%. Recent preparations, including Interior Ministry meetings with party leaders and the establishment of a central oversight committee, underscore institutional focus on the process, yet opinion indicators point to limited voter enthusiasm. King Mohammed VI’s late-July announcement of a post-election “new development cycle” emphasizes continuity on reforms but has not yet shifted sentiment decisively. The race stays tight because multiple parties within or aligned with the current government compete for similar voter bases, historical precedent shows volatile seat swings (as in 2021), and no major polling surge or decisive event has emerged close to the vote. Campaigning begins in mid-September, so developments such as candidate announcements, economic indicators, youth mobilization efforts, or coalition realignments could quickly widen gaps in trader assessments of which party secures the most seats.
