The Bank of Israel’s policy rate has stood at 3.50% since the July 6 cut of 25 basis points, and trader consensus on Polymarket heavily favors no change in August given the rescheduling of the next meeting to September 1. Inflation remains anchored near the target midpoint at 1.5%, supporting the central bank’s gradual easing path toward 3% over the coming year while the shekel’s strength and post-conflict recovery keep downside risks contained. With no fresh data releases or geopolitical shocks since the July decision, market-implied odds correctly price the hold as the base case, leaving only modest scope for a further modest reduction if incoming September indicators surprise to the downside.

Increases or decreases of less than 25 bps will be rounded to 25 bps (e.g. an increase or decrease of 10 bps would be considered to be an increase or decrease of 25 bps). Increases or decreases of greater than 25 bps will be rounded to the nearest 25 bps and will be rounded away from 0 in cases of equidistance (e.g., an increase or decrease of 37.5 bps would be considered to be an increase or decrease of 50 bps).
