Wyoming's 2026 U.S. Senate general election on November 3 features an open Republican-held seat after incumbent Cynthia Lummis declined to run, alongside concurrent open races for governor and U.S. House. With roughly 272,000 registered voters—predominantly Republican—and forecasts rating the contest safe for the GOP nominee, trader sentiment remains split across mid-range turnout bins because the lack of a competitive general-election contest limits broad mobilization while multiple statewide open seats and today's primary could sustain baseline participation. Historical patterns in low-population rural states show turnout sensitive to early and absentee voting trends, candidate-driven get-out-the-vote efforts, and any late national or state-specific developments that either suppress or elevate engagement before Election Day.
