**The municipal elections in Ústí nad Labem on October 9–10, 2026, feature a wide-open contest for mayor after incumbent Petr Nedvědický (ANO) announced he would not seek another term.** Multiple parties and coalitions have put forward local figures, including Tomáš Hrubý (ANO), Radim Bzura (ODS-KDU-ČSL “Spolu pro Ústí”), Tomáš Vohryzka (“Jedno Ústí” coalition of STAN, Pirates and others), Michal Mohr (SPD), and Yveta Tomková, among others. Trader prices clustered near 50% for dozens of named candidates reflect a fragmented field in which no single contender or alliance has established a decisive edge in the weeks before voting. The city’s 37-seat council is elected proportionally, after which the mayor is selected, amplifying the importance of post-election coalition talks. Recent campaign activity has centered on local priorities such as housing, public services, and economic development, with parties emphasizing cooperation or change from the current ANO-SPD arrangement. Upcoming debates, final candidate-list registrations, and any late shifts in local sentiment could quickly widen gaps among the leaders.
