The upcoming municipal elections on October 9–10, 2026, will determine Pardubice’s city council composition, after which the new mayor will be selected through coalition negotiations rather than direct popular vote. Incumbent Jan Nadrchal leads the ANO list, while Jakub Rychtecký heads a broad Žijeme Pardubice alliance of local groupings, Daniel Vondra heads the STAN ticket, Martin Slezák leads Progresivní Pardubice (TOP 09, Pirates, Greens), and additional contenders include Petr Netolický, Leoš Janda, and others. With multiple viable blocs and no party positioned for an outright majority, trader consensus around 49–50% for leading names reflects the decisive role of post-election bargaining over policy priorities such as budgeting, transport, and urban development. Court review of one registration and finalized candidate lists add procedural clarity but leave coalition math fluid until results arrive.
