Latest forecast models from MetService and international ensembles indicate a daytime high of 14–15°C in Wellington on September 11 under mostly sunny skies and moderate northwest winds, positioning these outcomes as the clear market leaders at 67.5% and 28% implied probability. Overnight clearing after Wednesday’s rain and a shift from southerly to northwesterly flow are driving the warming trend, with model consensus showing limited spread around these values and low chance of exceeding 16°C or falling below 13°C. Historical September averages near 15°C provide context, though day-to-day variability remains influenced by cloud cover and wind shifts. Updated guidance expected overnight will refine the exact maximum ahead of market resolution.
