Angie Nixon secured the Democratic nomination for Florida’s U.S. Senate special election after an August 2026 primary upset over Alex Vindman, delivering strong margins in Broward County that align with the area’s consistent Democratic lean in recent cycles. Her grassroots organizing, focus on affordability and healthcare issues, and local rallies have reinforced trader expectations that she will carry the county in November against appointed Republican incumbent Ashley Moody. Broward’s voter registration advantage and turnout patterns in Democratic primaries and generals underpin the current consensus pricing. A shift would require unusually high Republican mobilization or a late development altering county-specific dynamics before Election Day.
