The 2026 ACC rushing title remains tightly contested early in the season, with a deep pool of returning producers and transfers creating balanced market pricing around 45-50% for numerous candidates. Mark Fletcher Jr. at Miami enters with 1,192 yards and 12 touchdowns from 2025 plus strong playoff showings, while Duke’s Nate Sheppard (1,132 yards as a freshman), Louisville’s Isaac Brown, Virginia Tech’s Marcellous Hawkins, Stanford’s Micah Ford, and Georgia Tech’s Malachi Hosley all posted efficient 2025 outputs exceeding 600 yards. Additional factors include Kendrick Raphael’s transfer to SMU, Jayden Scott at NC State, and Ja’Kyrian Turner at Pitt, alongside favorable offensive schemes and limited early-season data that prevent any single back from pulling clear. This parity in proven volume, efficiency, and team contexts sustains the clustered probabilities reflecting broad trader consensus on the open race.
