Persistent southerly winds and a strong heat dome over the southern Plains are sustaining elevated overnight temperatures in Dallas, with National Weather Service forecasts projecting a low in the upper 70s to low 80s under clear skies and high dew points near 70°F. These conditions limit radiational cooling, keeping the minimum well above the 71°F climatological average for September 13. Trader consensus, reflected in the 50% implied probability for 90°F or higher, appears driven by the ongoing multi-day heat wave and model agreement on minimal nocturnal drop, though any unexpected increase in cloud cover or wind shift could moderate the outcome before midnight.
