This market will resolve based on the highest temperature recorded in the 'Daily Observations' table on Weather Underground, not the figure displayed in the 'Day High & Low' summary section; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Daily Observations table shall be the primary resolution source not the Day High & Low section. This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Masroor Airbase Station in degrees Celsius on 10 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Masroor Airbase Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/pk/karachi/OPKC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader consensus centers on 32–34°C as the most probable range for Karachi’s maximum temperature on August 10, 2026, reflecting climatological norms tempered by active monsoon influences.** Historical data from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and long-term averages show typical August daytime highs of 31–33°C (88–91°F) in the coastal city, rarely exceeding 34°C, consistent with the market’s heaviest weighting toward 33°C (51.5%). Current seasonal drivers include the southwest monsoon, which delivers frequent cloud cover, high humidity, and sea breezes from the Arabian Sea that moderate peak temperatures. Recent PMD outlooks for August 2026 indicate above-normal mean temperatures across much of Pakistan alongside variable rainfall, with some models forecasting patchy rain near Karachi early in the month that could further suppress maxima. Short-term forecasts from sources such as AccuWeather project daily highs of 31–34°C through mid-August, aligning closely with observed early-August readings in the low-to-mid 30s. Model uncertainty around exact monsoon low tracks and cloud timing introduces the modest spread seen in the 32°C (23%) and 34°C (24%) shares, while probabilities drop sharply above 35°C or below 31°C because such extremes fall outside both recent observations and expected conditions. Updated PMD three-day forecasts and satellite monitoring of monsoon progression over the next 48 hours will likely refine these market-implied odds.
