Official forecasts from the National Weather Service project a high near 95°F for Houston on September 13 amid southerly flow advecting warm, moist Gulf air and mostly sunny skies, supporting heat indices above 105°F. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms, with 30-50% coverage, introduce modest uncertainty by potentially limiting peak solar heating and mixing. This aligns with above-average September conditions following a dry recent period, though historical maxima near 90°F and model spreads keep the 92-93°F bin as the market leader at 55.5% implied probability. Traders appear focused on convection timing and any last-minute forecast revisions from updated model runs.
