Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts for Chicago on September 14 point to a high in the low-to-mid 70s under partly cloudy skies with southeast flow and no strong warm advection, positioning the 72-73°F and 74-75°F bins as the leading outcomes with combined implied probability near 62%. This reflects cooler-than-average conditions relative to the 1991-2020 climatological high of roughly 77°F, driven by a stable post-frontal air mass and limited diurnal heating. Traders are weighting the tight clustering of guidance from multiple runs, though minor shifts in cloud cover or wind could nudge the peak by a degree or two before official observations close the market.
