The 2026–27 UEFA Nations League A features four groups of four, with the bottom-placed side in each automatically relegated to League B for 2028–29 and third-placed teams entering home-and-away play-offs against League B runners-up. Group compositions include France, Italy, Belgium and Turkey; Germany, Netherlands, Serbia and Greece; Spain, Croatia, England and Czech Republic; and Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Wales. The six-match league phase opens 24–26 September 2026 across two international windows, concluding in November, before March 2027 play-offs. Trader focus centers on relative squad depth, recent European Championship qualifying results, and any confirmed absences such as key goalkeeper withdrawals, as these directly influence the likelihood of finishing last in each group.
