The communal elections scheduled for October 9–10, 2026, will determine Pardubice’s next mayor through a multi-list contest in which the leader of the strongest grouping typically assumes the post. Incumbent Jan Nadrchal (ANO) and first deputy Jakub Rychtecký (Žijeme Pardubice coalition) hold the clearest paths, anchored by their current roles in the city council and established local networks. Several other lists—led by figures such as Daniel Vondra (STAN), Martin Slezák (Progresivní Pardubice), Ondřej Tichý (ODS), Petr Netolický, and Leoš Janda—split the remaining vote, preventing any single contender from consolidating broad support. With candidate registrations finalized only weeks ago and no dominant late polling available, trader prices reflect the narrow margin between the top two while assigning lower implied probabilities to challengers. Shifts could emerge from coalition negotiations after the vote, turnout differences across city districts, or any last-minute legal rulings on list validity.
