The crowded field of nine confirmed candidates for Oldenburg’s September 13, 2026 Oberbürgermeister election—following incumbent Jürgen Krogmann’s decision not to seek a third term—has produced closely matched trader prices, with no contender exceeding 43 percent. Cross-party support for independent Jascha Rohr from the Greens and CDU contrasts with SPD nominee Ulf Prange and other party-backed or independent entrants, fragmenting early support. The two-round system raises the likelihood of a September 27 runoff, while limited polling and recent nomination announcements keep probabilities diffuse. Further endorsements, candidate debates, or shifts in local voter coalitions could consolidate backing and widen gaps ahead of the vote.
